Trace DNA Swab

Trace DNA Swabs These sterile Trace DNA Swabs are prefilled with 91% isopropyl alcohol which will self saturate the foam collection tip. The alcohol saturated tip may be used to collect multiple types of biological DNA samples from visible stain evidence and potential invisible trace samples. 3 ml Sterile Water Ampules

Sterile Water Ampules A pre-moistened sterile swab is ideal for the collection of biological samples. Each 3 ml vial contains pure sterile water. No bacteriostatic agents or other preservatives added. Internal contents sterile if vial is intact. Hold vial gently and twist off top. Squeeze vial to dispense. Discard after use. Provided in packages of 6 or 100 ampules.

Trace Evidence Rollers

Trace Evidence Rollers These single-use Trace Evidence Rollers allow for the recovery of a large amount of trace evidence from each roller which contains multiple lifting sheets. The roller may be used on surfaces such as vehicle seats or bedding. After each roll across the surface, the lifting sheet is removed, exposing a new sheet below. Each successive lift should be packaged in a plastic evidence bag for preservation. Roller should be discarded after collection. Rollers packaged individually.

Trace Evidence Tape

Trace Evidence Tape Specially developed for ease in trace evidence collection. Pick up minute hairs and fibers with this fully repulpable Trace Evidence Tape. The tape should be cut into strips before lifting and packaged in a plastic evidence bag. Simply soak the tape in water to release, then filter off the hairs and fibers. 3M™ Trace Evidence Vacuum The 3M Trace Evidence Vacuum is designed for the secure collection of trace evidence using individually sealed collection filter nozzles which attach to the end of the vacuum hose. Forenstix Semen Test Swabs

Forenstix™ Semen Test Swabs Forenstix Semen Test Swabs are designed to provide the crime scene investigator with the ability to conduct a presumptive chemical field test for the presence of semen. Simply remove the protective cap, moisten the swab pad with the included water, rub the swab on the suspected biological stain to transfer a sample of the stain to the pad, break the crush vials in the plastic tube, and observe a color change in the swab pad to indicate a positive presumptive reaction to the presence of semen. Provided as a package of eight swabs.

Presumptive Semen Tests When searching scenes or collecting evidence, it is often helpful to perform a presumptive test for the presence of semen upon those stains that fluoresce under UV light. All the reagents of the Semen Field Tests are sealed in glass crush ampoules and packaged in a disposable applicator. The Semen Test Kit includes dropper bottle reagents. A positive result for the presumptive presence of acid phosphatase (semen) is indicated by a deep purple color.
